To our students -
We "Promise" access with an eye on success.... 
 
 

There are two types of students: Those who have a plan... perhaps they are following in their parents’ footsteps,  or they have a dream and know how to achieve it. They have been preparing for college since elementary school  as their parents cheered them on each step of the way.

Then, there is the other… a student who has little support  – perhaps no family at all. No one has ever encouraged them. Dreams are just that – dreams. After high school,  they have no plans. Some fall farther behind and can only find minimum wage jobs – becoming a burden on  society and continuing the cycle of disappointment.
 
 Sierra Promise will reach out to those students who need someone to believe in them. Sierra Promise is not about free tuition . It is about showing students how they can achieve greatness by making a Promise to us and to themselves.
