Alfredo Arreguín was a Seattle-based painter renowned for his lush, elaborate, colorful paintings of flora and fauna. His work gained him institutional acclaim, including an Ohtli Award, a high recognition given by the Mexican government to people promoting Mexican culture abroad. The Whatcom recently exhibited his work in Many Wests and will be organizing an exhibition of Arreguín's works recently acquired for the permanent collection in 2025.
