Cathedral Fig VI is a monotype by Bellingham artist Sheila Sondik that depicts a 500-year-old strangler fig in Queensland, Australia that has created a dense ring of roots where its host tree once grew. Sondik has shown her works at the Whatcom Museum in three separate exhibitions, including most recently Acts of Healing and Repair in 2023. Her work has also been shown in exhibitions across Washington and California.
