What is Deck the Dome? Deck the Dome is Holy Names Academy’s annual holiday party to celebrate the season with mini auctions, hors d’oeuvres buffet, and musical entertainment from our talented students. The evening includes the annual lighting of the landmark HNA Dome – it’s a great way to kick-off the holidays!
What time does Deck the Dome start? Deck the Dome starts at 6:30 p.m.
Who attends Deck the Dome? Event guests include HNA alumnae, current and alumnae parents and grandparents, faculty and staff, and friends of the Academy.
How do I register for the event? Register online, return the RSVP card included with the invitation, or call Renee in the auction office – 206.720.7809.
Where does Deck the Dome take place? In the parlors at Holy Names Academy on the 2nd floor.
What can I expect at Deck the Dome? After checking-in, you will enjoy food and wine as you peruse the silent auction tables and mingle with other guests in the HNA parlors. The crowd then moves to the auditorium to enjoy music from the HNA choir and orchestra, the live auction, the presentation to the Volunteer of the Year, and to watch the lighting of the HNA dome.
What do I wear? Wear your festive attire! You’ll see everything from Christmas sweaters to cocktail attire. (No formalwear is necessary.)
How are the proceeds from Deck the Dome used by HNA? Each year, proceeds are directed to the “wish list” of a selected department or project within the school. The 2017 event will raise funds for the HNA Crew program.
Where do I park? We will have a valet parking service for all event guests in front of the school on 21st Avenue East the evening of December 2. In consideration of our neighbors, please take advantage of the valet parking service. If you decide to self-park, adhere to HNA parking standards:
Any legal parking spot on E. Aloha Street.
Both sides of the streets around the immediate four sides of the HNA building—but only in a legal space. The entire west side of 22nd Avenue in the block adjacent to the school building is a no-parking zone.
The NORTH side only of other streets running east/west (Roy, Prospect, Mercer, etc.), but only in a legal space. You may park on either side of the blocks immediately adjacent to the HNA building, as noted above.
The WEST SIDE ONLY of streets running north/south (20th, 21st, 22nd, etc.), but only in a legal space. You may park in any legal space on either side of the blocks immediately adjacent to the HNA building, as noted above.

Do you need volunteers? Yes – we need volunteers! Besides several roles at the event like registration and serving wine at the bars, we need volunteers to help with event setup on Friday, December 1 and cleanup on Sunday, December 3. The more people we have, the faster it goes. Plus, it’s a fun way to meet HNA parents. Contact Marnie or Renee in the HNA auction office for more information.
