Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children in Jefferson County from birth to age five, through funding shared by the Dolly Parton Foundation and the Rotary Club of Port Townsend, and now a matching grant by the State of Washington.

Supporting Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, book-gifting program for children from birth to 5, is a powerful way to help children to thrive so that they succeed in school and help our community grow and prosper.

To date Port Townsend Rotary has supported over 550 kids so far.  Over 6000 books have been delivered to families in our community. But we have more to do with your help.

The love of books and reading offers the foundation for literacy skills that set children up for future success not only in early grades but for life.

As Dolly says, “If you can read, you can do anything, dream anything, and be anything."
